I'm a swiss musician and composer.
Born 1960 in a teacher familie (under control of two older sisters)
This means that learning music begann quite early. My first instruments were recorder and then violin. I liked a lot to improvise not to exercise.
At this age...
I found a acoustic guitar in the cellar. (my first five chords...)My friends founded a band, so somehow I had to get an electric guitar. I began to teach guitar to get the money together. Also my first compositions resulted.
We had success (but no band survived more than three years)
I decided at this age
to study classical guitar. I could compose not only the music for the bands and ensembles but also for different formations and for some musicals.
Then my own family got bigger and bigger...(3 children, two dogs, to cats...)
so I took the chance and became director of a bigger music school. I could no more play myself so often anymore. On the other hand, there were many possibilitys to compose for the pupils/teachers/school.
After 21 years leading the musicchool
I decided to go back to the beginning! Being 100% musician and composer. In the last 6 years I could write more then 300 pieces for guitar solo and approximately 50 pieces for guitar duo/trio and other formations.
And there are more ... every week!
